Last night I had a dream an angel spoke to me. We talked about ones that died for the freedom that we see. I’ve seen so many die…the blood… the tears… the screams. The sacrifice of many united for a dream.
Chorus}
The pain of loss is many in the wars we know are true We deal with loss of loved ones and the emptiness we do
Verse}
Thoughts of war surround me as I start to slip. The howling of the madness screams across my lips. In the year of forty-one I witnessed so much pain. Twelve-Seven and Nine-Eleven the image looks the same.
Chorus}
The pain of loss is many in the wars we know are true We deal with loss of loved ones and the emptiness we do
Bridge}
Even though I’m older I still feel the pain Of everyone that died for freedom to remain.
Chorus}
The pain of loss is many in the wars we know are true We deal with loss of loved ones and the emptiness we do Yes the emptiness we do
